Avoid If You Enjoy A Clean Room

by chryswithay

This was truly one of the filthiest hotel rooms we ever stayed in. There was dirt all over the floor, and it made me wonder if the room was vacuumed anytime in the last week or so. The shower had zero water pressure but I made up for this by staying in the shower twice as long as I normally would to rinse all of the soap and shampoo off of me. This, of course, was after I summoned the courage to get in the shower after viewing all of the hair left in the tub by the previous guests. The free breakfast was truly gross and I spit out the eggs after one bite. I thought about trying the biscuits and gravy but when I saw how big the gravy container was compared to how few guests were eating it made me wonder how often the same gravy was reheated and refrigerated. This made me want to pass. Finally, when I expressed my displeasure to the desk clerk all I got was "I'm so sorry". Want to know the main reason I am upset by this experience: I paid over $130 for a one night stay in this dump.

Never Again

by agraves10

I stayed here for 5 days during a business conference. Never again. I have stayed at Country Inn and Suites before and had no issues, but this one was by far the worst. The hotel is stuffy, and my room was sticky the entire time. The AC unit smelled like mold and bacteria, like it had never been cleaned since installation. It stunk up the entire room and the moisture was unbearable. No way to open a window or anything to alleviate it. I went the first two days without hot water, until I had to tell the front staff that it needed to be fixed. The shower had hair all over it and smelled of strong bleach. It was slippery and I was always afraid I was going to fall. Something in the bathroom smelled like arm pits. The bed was one of the worst parts about this place. The mattress was so firm, I went home with back pain that lasted over a week. There was no safe in the room, so I had to take all my valuables with me. The TV was tiny, and the carpet needed vacuuming. I could hear the person in the next room talking on their phone through the bathroom vents. The cups/lids next to the coffee machine had dried coffee all over them (photo attached). McDonald's and Bob Evans within walking distance and the Opry Convention Center was right down the road. The only things positive about this place. Hotel staff was decent. I checked out at 3:15 AM and the person working the front desk was blasting a TV in what I assume is the kitchen area. I had to track him down to check out.
