Middle of the Road

by Aurora_Guy

Getting here from the SAT airport is no small feat in rush hour traffic and an accident on the I-410 access road. Google TWICE mis-directed me. Plan on plenty of U-turns and around-the-block maneuvers. And finally I arrived at the cluster of Marriott properties. I needed a good rest.

The desk clerk was professional but not over-friendly. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The highway nearby is not a noise problem. Breakfast is marginal. Checkout was painless and uneventful.

For eats, you must try the adjacent Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, which serves phenomenal food.

Tired place; front desk doesn’t follow through....

Asked for a quiet room on a 2 business night trip.

They put me away from the loud ice machine, but in the front of the building facing the highway and popular restaurant. It was OK until the toilet refilled each 15 minutes due to a very old flapper that leaked water.

Asked the front desk to have repaired. Didn’t do it.

Room 421, but looking at the flapper valve, they have more rooms with a similar problem.

The rooms are tired; the downstairs is tired. Staff is minimal.
