Reviews

others may disagree with my opinion of the restaurant buffet

by John H

Others may disagree but this is my opinion. I did not use the hotel but I tried the buffet today with my wife. I am a vegetarian so I did not try the meat dishes. I liked the camote slices and the rolls. One of my favorite Peruvian dishes is Papas a la Huancaina. However the Hauancaina sauce was so weak I could barely taste it. The three cheese canalones with spinach appeared to be so diluted with flour that I had difficulty tasting the cheese. The cheesecake and the picarones for dessert were a disaster. Finally, when I received my bill, I was surprised to find that the 18% tax was not included in the posted price, but added an extra expense. I have eaten at many restaurants in Tacna. This was the first time that the 18% tax was not included in the posted price. I think a manner of feedback from the restaurant patrons would be a benefit to the management. My expectations were not met by a restaurant in a hotel that hopes to become 4 stars.

Dirtily Maintained

Hotel is dirty. Rooms, corridors, furniture. Chewing gum under the bed. I did not have lower denomination, hence did not tip bell services. Gave me a dirty look. Breakfast poor. Good thing, views. Overall, disappointing
