No AC and heat was stuck on.

by Weston M

This hotel is listed as having air-conditioning on the Hilton website. However, my room did not have air-conditioning. Furthermore, the heat was stuck on high and it took two trips by the maintenance person to get the heat to stay off and the fan to stay on. The suggestion was to leave the window open. I asked him if this was how it was in all the rooms and he said yes. My room was designed for wheelchair access, which is fine, normally. However, the closet in this room was so small that I could not hang my jacket up in it without it being crumpled on the bottom of the closet floor. The mattress was lumpy. My colleagues stayed at the Hilton Midtown and didn’t have any of these problems. I do not recommend staying at the Doubletree.

For the price of the room I had and the condition it was in was terrible. I expected better from a Hilton establishment. Room was out fo date. There was scrapes on the wall, things hanging , dirty shower head, water stains on the bathroom ceiling and the list goes on. Will not be staying here again and for the price I would not recommend anyone here. Felt like I was staying at a $50 motel.
