Went to Itasca State Park for the day. The lunch at the Douglas Lodge was delicious. I had the rice soup and a salad. The fresh pie for dessert was very good. Had to wait for a table,Sunday lunch. I would have given higher rating but dining room is very noisy and staff very noisy when clearing neighbouring tables.

We stopped off for lunch after a nice hike in the park. They have a wide variety of offerings. I had the fried blue gill basket which was very good. The fish was very lightly battered and there was a fair amount of fish included. Very reasonably priced for an out of the way place!
