Overview

Checking in to a Fairmont hotel, there’s never any doubt of the impeccable service and amenities that await every guest, and the Fairmont Waterfront stays completely on brand. This centrally located luxury hotel is within walking distance of many downtown Vancouver attractions. The harbor, cruise ship terminal and convention center are all directly across the street (convenient for those looking for an overnight stay before embarking on a cruise); numerous museums and restaurants surround the hotel; and the Vancouver airport is just 30 minutes away. Free shuttle buses to the Capilano Suspension Bridge are also directly across the street from the Fairmont Waterfront, making it convenient to not only see the city offerings, but also the nature-side of Vancouver.

Kids will love the outdoor terrace pool, complimentary bicycles, the honeybees and the Bee Butler, while parents will love being taken care of themselves with turndown service, personalized amenities and onsite dining. The guestrooms and suites are plenty spacious for families and can be well-equipped with kids’ amenities like kids’ robes and diaper genies, too. Pets are also well cared for here, with amenities of their own and dog walking services.

Fun Fact: Queen Elizabeth II stayed here during her Royal Jubilee visit in 2002, so the Fairmont Waterfront, indeed, offers royal treatment! But it never compromises on comfort and accessibility either. Families looking for a luxury hotel that’s conveniently located to everything Vancouver has to offer will love a stay at the Fairmont Waterfront.

Just lovely

Beautiful hotel. We upgraded to the Gold floor and the breakfast was one of the best lounge meals I've ever had. Rooms and bathroom were beautiful. Staff was great--a birthday card with free drinks was waiting at the front desk.

The hotel was very inviting. Staff were helpful polite and courteous. My room was clean and the view was amazing. I recommend the Stanley park view if possible. The Valet was very helpful and my vehicle was waiting when I needed it. Great stay I highly recommend.

Herb Gardens and Beehives
The terrace herb gardens, situated near the pool, provide much of the herbs, vegetables, fruits and honey used in the hotel’s cuisine. The gardens, planted in 1996, are also home to an apiary (collection of beehives). The more than 250,000 honeybees have produce more than 200 pounds of honey at this hotel in just one year. Families will love to join the hotel’s Bee Butler for one of his daily beehive tours that take place from May through September. The tours explain how busy these bees are throughout Vancouver and how long it takes to produce their delightfully delicious honey. Make sure to taste the hotel’s own honey in any one of the variety of dishes at the onsite restaurant, or take a jar home.
