Disappointing stay in National Park

by ZionHiker

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Far View Lodge. Unlike many other lodges in National parks, these accommodations like the character and grandeur of other lodges. The rooms are clean and spartan with very thin walls. Unfortunately, we could hear the conversations of our neighbor.

A word of caution: there is limited restaurant facilities and reservations should be made before arrival to ensure a space.

If I return to visit Mesa Verde National Park, I would stay in Durango, where there are many interesting hotels and restaurants.

The views and location can't be beat!

Great views right out your window. Very conveniently located in the park. The room was clean. The walls are paper thin, you can hear the people next door talking, sneezing etc. Got there and there was only 1 package of decaf coffee in the room, asked the registration desk for more and they thought they may be out, would have to go downstairs to check when they got a chance. Asked housekeeping for more, finally got some. Pretty pricey for what you get.
