What a Location!

by gillsp2017

If you're visiting Mesa Verde National park this is the ideal place to stay. Its location in the middle of the park is just wonderful. There are fabulous views from it and the road, though bendy, is an easy run to and from it. The lodge rooms are fairly basic but they all have a small balcony where you can sit and star gaze. The blanket which they provide for colder nights is just so cosy and warm - we sat outside under it despite the low temperature.

Location is awesome

Best thing about this lodge is the location. Rooms are really tight. The rooms with the double beds are bigger than the ones with a king bed. The extra space would be really helpful. Also, the rooms are very noisy. We could hear alarm clocks through the walls, footsteps above, music playing, conversations. I would ask for a double bed room on the second floor to cut down on the noise. That being said, I would stay here again because the location inside the park is worth it!
