Stayed here for a one night break. Room was decent size, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom - but a lot of obvious wear and tear; some tears on the bed sheets, scuffing of doors and furniture, loose light fittings. Dinner in the fota restaurant was underwhelming for the 5 star prices - looked good but flavour and service were lacking, and the atmosphere was disrupted by a constant flow of staff transporting food through the restaurant towards the bar. Breakfast had a good selection of food and a nice hot menu, but again service let it down. Reception area poorly laid out and led to delays checking in/out. Overall a fine hotel but felt service in particular fell short of 5 star standards, and probably wouldn't return.
6 adults 3 children in a wonderful environment, great holiday, wildlife park fantastic, golf great, spa and swimming pool made the holiday for the kids. Great food in golf restaurant. Kids playroom in hotel was great.
