Exceptional, thoughtful service!

by ruby_storm

Really superb service at the four seasons Anahita. The staff are extremely professional, keen to help but not too overbearing which allows you the space to relax and encourages a chilled atmosphere on the resort.

The main reason I’m posting is because I wanted to express my thanks to Patrick. I’m a vegan and was a little nervous about staying at the resort for 9 nights. I needn’t have worried, when we checked in Patrick the Exec Sous Chef came to greet us and discuss my food and dietary preference. He ensured his team cooked me some delicious varied meals during my stay - the meal for the Mauritian food night really was the stand-out; exceptional. Every meal (full board) I was catered for and planned for, which included me getting to enjoy a selection of vegan desserts too - a lovely treat as these usually I end up with fruit salad! They also have a great choice of non-alcoholic drinks which are worth a mention including a delicious mango sorbet ice tea!

I must say I’m not a massive resort person, but I found there more than enough to do for 9 days. Apart from leaving the resort for horse riding a couple of times we gladly slowed the pace down and enjoyed the activities. We enjoyed visiting the giant tortoises each morning, taking the boat to Ile Aux Cerfs and making the most of the water sport activities. We used the bicycles each day to get around rather than the golf carts. Some of the bikes are a bit tired and could do with being swapped out. I headed down to the gym each morning too before breakfast - if you’re a gym bunny you might be a little underwhelmed as some of the kit is a bit outdated but it does it’s job and it’s quiet which is a plus!

My only grumble about the resort was my visit to the spa. Considering it cost what I would expect to pay in an upmarket London spa my treatments were pretty poor technique, rushed and the environment wasn’t great (I was taken to a cluttered gift shop afterwards to drink my tea where staff were standing gossiping). A shame as I usually like to spend time at spas but was put off so didn’t return.

Whilst I would perhaps avoid the spa, I really would recommend this hotel, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Relaxing half term break

The five of us had an amazing 9 nine days here. Beautiful garden villa, delicious food, great service and lots to keep the mini poodles entertained. We had a smashing time. Most lunches at Bamboo where we were looked after exceptionally well by Amit, Sachin, Prakesh and Kavita. One evening they set up a table on the beach for us which was lovely. Stefano did a brilliant job keeping the youngsters busy with games, wake boarding etc. Couple of days at Cerf island, and fun with Rambo in the bar there. Also, a fab day out on a catermeran yacht - snorkelling on the reef, sailing, delicious BBQ ....well worth it... organised by Kavita (thanks!). All in all a great trip, in a stunning setting with super service. Thanks so much.
