Stayed at Four Seasons on the last 3 nights of our 12 night safari trip. From the minute we arrived, until the minute we left, the entire staff and lodge exceeded our expectations! Everything was wonderful! From management to housekeeping, this lodge goes above and beyond for their guests! We LOVED our waterhole facing suite and honestly didn’t want to leave the lodge as we saw a large variety of animals throughout the day from our room. I highly recommend this property at the end of your trip as you will leave pampered, refreshed, and ready for the long journey home. Thank you very much Four Seasons for a memorable stay!
The good stuff:
— we got a free upgrade to the room with a private pool on the balcony
— friendly and helpful staff
— many cute hyraxes hanging around in the hotel
— animals get close to room. We saw a herd of elephants walk by our suite and drink at the waterhole in front of the main swimming pool
— there is a lot of use of plastic: bottled water, soap wraps, etc. I hope the hotel can become more environmentally conscious, especially given that it’s located right in the middle is he Serengeti plain
— AC very noisy, feel like sitting in an airplane, had to wear earplugs
— needs some improvement on the food selection to incorporate more local cuisine and healthy food options
— whole place smells like mosquito repellent. Very strong smell!
