Nicely situated on a peninsula overlooking Cruz Bay, Gallows Point Resort offers one-bedroom, individually owned condominiums, each with a full kitchen and deck. The resort, which is within walking distance to the town of Cruz Bay, completed updates of many units as of January 2010. ZoZo’s, one of the island’s best restaurants, is on property, as is a convenience store. Beach lovers will be disappointed as the resort fronts rocky shoreline.
Gallows Point Resort markets itself as a property “geared to adults” and therefore requests that families with children under five years old do not stay at the property. Given the lack of beach and the resort’s preference for “adults,” this property is best for families with well-behaved teens or adult children.

We had another great time at Gallows Point. This was our third visit to the resort and our first return to the island since the hurricane. Happy to report that everything has been put back with an improved pool area and a new sun deck over looking the coral blues of the nearby reef.
It was so nice to see Mr.Smith again taking care of the property and over seeing details at the on site restaurant, Oceans 362. Our waiter Mr. Fritzroy was very accommodating in reserving our table next to rail. Five dinners were celebrated here at the resort. Food was very good and the balmy evening breezes with moonlight ocean views will be remembered for a long time. This restaurant even helped us out one night with a special dinner including fresh mahi mahi that me and my son caught off shore one morning on a fishing charter. We landed 8 fish and had plenty to share with the staff. Four nice size fillets were delivered to our table served special in a white wine / lemon caper sauce. This was really a great memory. Thank you so much Capt. Tyler from Double Header fishing charters also.
Our room, as before, was spacious and clean with a great kitchen. Our views from the upper villa over looking the harbor were amazing. We enjoyed the tropical noises in the evening from the exotic birds and insects. It really feels and sounds like you are in the tropics. The grounds are well manicured and well watered. It is beautiful here. A nice quiet, private get away. The onsite store is a great help also for food items and tour arrangements. Missy will be glad to help you find a great adventure. Maid service is very good and friendly. Jackie did a great job for us along with her help for our 10 day trip.
The beaches in the National Park are as breath-taking as we enjoyed from our last visit. We rented a Jeep for our whole stay and parking was not a problem. The resort has good parking, close and easy to use from the villas. We also favored the good nightly security that supported a one way in and one way out area for night time. Thanks for your help Justin. Visitors to the restaurant can not walk through the grounds. Registered guests only can be on the premises. This helps with the private and exclusivity feel that the resort presents. It's a great place to relax and be awed by great sea views.
The reef here is abundant with fish and has many corals. If you swim over to the reef marker, closer to Cruz Bay, there are colorful mounds of corals with walls to swim through. Lots of parrot fish. Nice to see this after the storm from 2 years ago.
The resort is close to the ferry dock and the center of town. In the mornings we ate breakfast at Landings. Local pan drummers would play for tourists from the gazebo. A bunch of fun.
I recommend this resort to someone who wants to relax in paradise. It is everything you can imagine a tropical vacation get away should be. Thank you all for another great time. We will return again. Very grateful. The Pringle family.
My one week stay included snorkeling at the Gallows Point Resort and great views. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping made sure we had plenty of towels. Gallows is a great location. Town is walkable and a short drive to local beaches. We gambled at CAPS, took pictures of several rainbows ???? & lots of wildlife. Looking forward to returning...
