the best part of may stay was checkout

by Anthony S

I stayed at this hotel for several days recently. The best part of my stay was checkout. I was happy to then walk out, relieved to be on my way. On the positive side, the hotel is modern and looks good, is clean and my bedroom was perfectly adequate, above all I slept well in a good bed. On the other hand it was as though there was no staff training. Left hand did not know what right was doing. Answers were indifferent and inconsistent. As to the dining room! The buffet breakfast and dinner food was varied, interesting and adequate. But the service! Well, there wasn't. The dining room staff were surly and totally disinterested; they practiced arrogance. Meal time was little better than frenzied feeding time at the zoo. I was very disappointed, would not return and would not recommend the hotel to anyone but the brave and hardened traveller.

Unfriendly staff

by Hilary M

The hotel was okay...room comfortable and clean. Food satisfactory, but restaurant staff unfriendly. They barged in front of us, cleared tables before we had finished and were grumpy when we asked for a couple of places to be set when there were no settings available in our designated area.
We were woken by the room cleaners early on our last morning when we were looking forward to a bit of a lie in. All in all a large hotel which caters for large parties in a functional basis.
