If I could - I would never leave this hotel.

by Europeaddict

We had reservations for 3 nights and then found that we could not leave! So we added one more night and then sadly we had to leave.

What a fabulous hotel with stunning views. Definitely get a terrace on the water side of the hotel. You can not only see Naples from there, but you can watch the cruise ships and ferry come and go.

There is a line of comfortable chairs on the terrace that you can have a drink and snacks and watch the boats and the sunset.

The room was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was really nice, but an odd configuration for the bathtub. You have a small enclosed area in which to step over a very high side to the tub. My friend had injured her leg so she couldn't use the bathtub/shower combination. I was concerned about falling. I think it needs to be redone.

I loved the tiles and the colors throughout. Everyone was very helpful. Loved the breakfast where you can sit by the window with a great view.

The hotel helped us a lot. They ordered car service for us to pick us up at ferry station in Naples and take us for a tour of Naples, then to the hotel. The cost to do that was 100EUR which I thought was extremely reasonable.

The hotel is located just a short walk from the center of the city with all the shops and restaurants. Before you get to the town, on the left is a restaurant that was so good and reasonable we ate there twice.

The hotel also arranged a tour to the Amalfi Coast.

We were so happy there - beautiful hotel, beautiful grounds and spectacular views.

Fabulous, but felt uncomfortable

by Catherine O

The hotel was beautiful. It was the end of season (which we knew and not through any fault of the hotels ) - so it was very quiet. While we were aware it was the end of season, we felt uncomfortable and unwanted in the hotel. While lying by the pool staff were clearing away tables and loungers around us, only leaving what we and another couple were lying on. Also all the chairs and tables on the terrace were cleared away.

I understand that this has to be done and it is of no direct fault of the staff, I personally think this should wait until all guests have left the hotel. It in turn made us feel awkward.

Secondly I asked for a coffee after my breakfast and asked the waiter to bring it to me on the terrace, I was told no as 'he doesn't serve on the terrace'.
This was no problem the previous day. It is an expensive hotel - even in the off season so one would expect a 5 star service.

Breakfast was nice and the front of house staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
