Beware the parking fee!

by SomersEMT

I've stayed at this Hampton Inn many times and it is clean and a good value. But my last stay gave me an unwanted surprise. Hampton Inn now charges $10.00 per day to park your car yourself in their (usually) empty lot. And I'm a Silver Level Hilton Honors Club Member. Don't get mad at the desk clerk. This is an obvious money grab by Hilton. I guess they want to keep the room rates somewhat low for competitive reasons -- then hit you with a parking fee when you check in. It's mentioned (and hidden) on the website but it's easy to miss. I did, mainly because I've been staying at Hampton Inns since 1998 and have never been charged for parking -- until now.

Excellent Lodging Experience

When I arrived at the front desk, I was happy to learn our room had been upgraded. The room was very comfortable and well laid out. Bathroom shower was excellent, but sink water flow was not great. Our complimentary breakfast was very good - food was hot and tasty.
