The Hampton Inn Virginia Beach is a slice of beach utopia. Each room, directly facing the beach, enjoys it’s own private balcony letting you drift off to the lyrics of the waves. Located directly on the beach, you’ll love the close proximity to the boardwalk where you can find outdoor concerts, ride bikes, play in the surf or shop at the upscale stores and souvenir shops.
The Hampton has a nicely set up fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment facing the ocean views. The 24-hour indoor pool and hot tub are both large and beautiful.
Each room has a microwave and refrigerator. The de rigueur (these days) large flatscreen television proudly sits in the center of the room. Internet access is free. And the extra roomy bathroom is sweet comfort at the end of a long beach day. The complimentary breakfast provides generous-sized portions of waffles, eggs, bacon, bagels, coffee and more.
The Timbuktu restaurant is also on site at the Hampton Inn and receives endless raves for it’s fresh seafood, huge rack of full ribs, steaks, lobster, pizza and pasta. Kids are very welcome and a children’s menu is on-hand. Sit outside on the patio for a gorgeous ocean view or indoors to the modern, dark wood decor. Live entertainment in the bar Thursday through Sunday. Restaurant is open six days a week for both lunch and dinner: Monday through Saturday. Speaking of lunch — the menu is a hoot with $1 All-Beef Hot Dogs (add $2 if you want fries).

For the fourth year I have made reservations at this property. I love staying here in October and/or November.
This hotel is always clean and with free parking. The view of the beach and ocean is wonderful. This end of the beach is quieter than the south end.
The staff here are great and perform their duties professionally.
The down side this year is the remodeling that is taking place at the hotel. We were on the fifth floor and the construction was taking place on the 7th and 8th floor. The noise the frirst day was verfy loud with the use of a reciprocal saw on pipes above us. They stopped work at 4pm so late afternoon wasn't too bad.
I am looking forward to seeing the new rooms next year.

Ideal location and good parking situation. It looks like they are prepping to put new bathroom fixtures in, which will be great to see since this hotel is ready even though the rooms are well cared for and appointed.
