The Hampton Inn Virginia Beach is a slice of beach utopia. Each room, directly facing the beach, enjoys it’s own private balcony letting you drift off to the lyrics of the waves. Located directly on the beach, you’ll love the close proximity to the boardwalk where you can find outdoor concerts, ride bikes, play in the surf or shop at the upscale stores and souvenir shops.
The Hampton has a nicely set up fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment facing the ocean views. The 24-hour indoor pool and hot tub are both large and beautiful.
Each room has a microwave and refrigerator. The de rigueur (these days) large flatscreen television proudly sits in the center of the room. Internet access is free. And the extra roomy bathroom is sweet comfort at the end of a long beach day. The complimentary breakfast provides generous-sized portions of waffles, eggs, bacon, bagels, coffee and more.
The Timbuktu restaurant is also on site at the Hampton Inn and receives endless raves for it’s fresh seafood, huge rack of full ribs, steaks, lobster, pizza and pasta. Kids are very welcome and a children’s menu is on-hand. Sit outside on the patio for a gorgeous ocean view or indoors to the modern, dark wood decor. Live entertainment in the bar Thursday through Sunday. Restaurant is open six days a week for both lunch and dinner: Monday through Saturday. Speaking of lunch — the menu is a hoot with $1 All-Beef Hot Dogs (add $2 if you want fries).

Very relaxing from the moment we entered the looy until we left the next day. After a long drive being able to sit on the balcony watching the waves roll in was priceless.
Not sure how it is during peak season but at the beginning of off peak it is a wonderful place to stay.
My wife and I selected this hotel for our tenth wedding anniversary. We stayed three nights during the second week of October 2019. Judging by the reviews and pictures, we thought it would be pretty good. It was better than pretty good. Not only were we not disappointed, but we also had one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had, and we've stayed in hotels large and small, fancy and not-so-fancy, all across the country.
The views are tremendous, and this hotel is in what have concluded is the "nicer" part of the beach area (the northern side). All the perks--the comfort, the quality, the rooms, the breakfast food--are great. But it was the customer service that blew us away. The front desk was always helpful, offering recommendations, information, and insight that made our stay more enjoyable. Hands-down, the best part of our experience, though, was the hotel breakfast staff. Every morning we were greeted with smiles and kindness. Every morning they asked if there was anything they could help us with. They took our dishes and trash. They clearly went out of their way, beyond the call of duty, and showed concern for our needs, wanting us to be happy. They were courteous and answered any questions we had with a great attitude! Whether or not they liked their job, they consistently (over our three mornings there) made it appear that they LOVED their job. That was cool, and we were impressed. We even commented how much it was like going to Chick-fil-A! My wife and I will never forget their smiling faces and generous hospitality. Wow.
We would recommend to anyone. Stay at this hotel!
