Weekend stay in Vermont

by S433HMwilliaml

My wife and I took a weekend to drive to White River Junction as a location nearby Hanover (NH) and Quechee, Woodstock and Montpelier (VT). This Hampton Inn was central to these places and gave easy access to them all. The Inn was an excellent choice with a large room, nice lighting, comfortable bed and other furnishings, and very nice bathroom having an excellent shower and sink. The staff was polite and efficient and there was a complimentary breakfast of generally fine quality. We enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly visit this same Hampton Inn again in the future.

So what's the point of having Diamond status?

by L2617PDsteveb

Checked in for a 3 night stay, nice check in. Went for breakfast on the 3rd day. Place was a mess, disaster area. Guests with no manners, but no one cleaning up I could see. Asked for a diet coke at the front counter, wanted to charge me $1,50, even after i explained I was on day 3 with only 2 bottles of water. Let me explain that it's always complementary at EVERY other Hampton Inn I've been to.
I don't understand why Diamond status doesn't work here.
I'll try another place for my next visit. Too bad loosing a Diamond customer over $1,50.
