The deluxe, four-season resort essentially comprises three hotels: The Resort, Waterfront Collection and our favorite, the Lake House. Each one offers family-friendly accommodations — including rooms that welcome pets! Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.

Be sure to check out the resort’s family packages!

Overnight in Lake Placid

by NANNETTE R

This place has it all! Fire places with roaring fires surrounded by comfy chairs in the lobby. A large room with a couch and a king size bed well placed to face the window which offered a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. A clean bathroom with a fabulous shower. I gave it a four because it is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed in. You can hear everything in the room next to you. EVERYTHING. While it’s not the hotel’s fault our neighbors were rudely inconsiderate at 1am, it did make the stay less than perfect.

Great Views and Service

We visited Lake Placid and stayed at High Peaks during MDW and had a good time. Check in was quick and very friendly. We stayed on the rooms right on the water, the first room had great views but definitely smelled like smoke and had a strong chemical order, we asked to be changed, and we were. The second room was just as big, a little outdated but the views off he balcony made up for it.

The hotel to use was located in a great area, walking distance to a lot of the restaurants and shops.

Check out was quick as well. They guy at the front desk was great, Hunter made everything go smooth!
