Located on the campus of the University of Texas, El Paso, the Hilton Garden Inn is ideal for a family of four or five. Their overly large one-bedroom suites have two queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa, as well as a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Kids will love taking command of their own TV in the sitting area of the suite when they’re not outside splashing in the large outdoor pool. Other amenities of the hotel include a fitness center, laundry room, and a 24-hour convenience store. Breakfast is only included if you opt for their “Bed and Breakfast” package, which is a very reasonable rate compared to other area restaurants.
The Hilton Garden has an onsite restaurant, the Garden Grill, which serves up tasty American and Southwest dishes. They also have an extensive children’s menu to keep the young ones happy. The hotel’s location, on the UTEP campus, ensures that you’ll have plenty of great food and beverage choices within easy walking distance. Downtown El Paso, with its cool shops, restaurants, and museums, is only a mile away from the hotel. Drive a few miles north to take the kids up to the top of Ranger Peak in one of the comfy gondolas of the Wyler Aerial Tramway. Then make sure you leave at least half a day to explore the El Paso Zoo, which is only five miles from the Hilton Garden Inn. Kids will love the famed sea lion exhibit at the zoo. With its great college campus location and easy access to downtown, the Hilton Garden Inn is a great base of operations for your family vacation to El Paso.

We loved the hotel, it’s location and the service. Plenty of parking, well lit and convenient. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff was amazing. Even the maintenance staff was friendly! Only problem was the digital key wouldn’t work for our room.
I used to stay at this hotel when there is a concert at the Don Haskins center. It is at 10 min walking distance and very safe.
It is in the UTEP campus area and hospitals as well.
The hotel is not the cheapest (no complementary breakfast) in the area but it is worth it.
There are plenty of restaurants, just one block away, at Mesa St.
