Wonderful service and amazing stay

We had an excellent time at Secrets, wish we had stayed longer.
We had a panoramic view and it was breathtaking, yes you must climb a hill but totally worth it for the view and the shuttles were very prompt, we did not wait more than 5 minutes.
Food is excellent, everyone is ready to serve you at all time and go above and beyond. Hann at Market Place is the best manager, she was on point and very professional; thank you for making our anniversary special. Marianna at the bar Barefoot Grill was THE best waitress, she catered to us at the beach or pool and knew exactly when it was time for a new drink. She is outstanding!!!
The food is top notch, the drinks are plentiful and delicious, the place is big enough but quaint. The views are amazing.
If I had one criticism, it would be that as the resort got less busy during the week and they were prepping for a big group, 2 restaurants instead of 1 was closed but the others were not properly staffed and they did not do turn-down service on 1 night.

As soon as we got to Secrets, everyone was extremely friendly. We really enjoyed every moment being there. Even the staff that was leaving or coming into work would either say good morning or hello as they walked by us. They go out of your way to make sure you have what you need. The room was nice and always kept clean. Our toilet kept making a high pitch noise when we got there but it was fixed after we mentioned it. We enjoyed walking to our room, beach and the pool instead of using the shuttle because we enjoyed the scenery. But if you needed a shuttle you could use a phone near by or in your room and they would send for one right away.

What we liked best was the staff and the pool table area. One of the bartenders, Guillermo, was always refilling our drinks and would find us either by the pool or pool table area. He went above and beyond not just for us but for everyone he encountered. We also loved the restaurant Aqua. Their breakfast smoothies are delicious. We have been recommending Secrets Papagayo to everyone and we would definitely go back to the resort.
