When we arrived there were lots of ants in our first room, Called front desk, in which they were prompt and helpful about switching us rooms. Got to our second room and it was not good, either. The room smelled of cigarettes, and there were cigarette ashes everywhere. The bed had a white sheet over it and on the white sheet was lots of ashes. The bathroom had not been cleaned, floors had not been swept and a pretty dirty washcloth was sitting on the counter. I contacted the front desk again, and they did send housekeeping,I'm allergic to cigarette smoke, so I had to keep the door open to outside and our hall area to try and get the smell out. My son cried and did not want to stay. Was not how we wanted our trip, but it was already paid for, so we made the best of it.
Outstanding views, people, food, to do's....couldn't be happier and would recommend this resort to any and all who are planning a vacation to the Galveston Beach area. Very clean, very friendly staff, good food and fun.
