Not a Good Nights Sleep!

by NoniRose

If you are going to stay at this hotel, ask to NOT have a room on the East side of the building. I stayed there with 2 friends and we were up all night because of the train traffic that was constant throughout the night! I will not stay there again. When I was asked upon check out how our night was, I told them not very good because of the sound of trains going through all night and all I got was “sorry.” Sorry doesn’t give me a good nights sleep!

Holiday Inn Express Aurora

We chose to stay at this Holiday Inn Express & Suites again after having stayed here a couple of years ago, and we were not disappointed. The grounds are well maintained with ample parking spaces. We were greeted by friendly staff at check-in, and grabbed a couple of cookies for a snack later. Our room was very comfortable with a King bed plus a couch and ample desk and drawer space. There were numerous electrical outlets which we so appreciate since we travel with computers and cell phones. Our room was very clean with everything we could possibly need. We were on the side of the building in close proximity to the train tracks, however we enjoy the sound of passing trains so we did not find it to be a problem; the air conditioner can probably help muffle the sound. We enjoyed the free breakfast both mornings finding it to be typical of what we have found at other Holiday Inn Expresses (love those cinnamon rolls!). The only suggestion we would make is to better mark the trash and recycle bins, because people didn't seem to notice the signs indicating which ones to use for each. We again enjoyed being so close to the Two Brothers Roundhouse (brewery and restaurant), and many other restaurants within walking distance. Every staff member that we encountered was very helpful and friendly. We'll be back!
