Nice clean hotel, room not ready at check in time????

by Venture18795322911

Trip was for a family wedding. Arrived after check in time to quickly change in wedding clothes & head to venue. Had to wait for room to be ready plus front desk computer system was down. Got room 25 mins. later, quickly changed & got to venue with 5 mins to spare. Apparently they need more employees so people wont need to wait....Otherwise hotel was nice, clean & comfortable

Nice Hotel -a few suggestions

It is always a happy occassion when you attend the wedding of your grandaughter so we were delighted to be part of the two day festivities following our air travel to CT. and then by our son driving us from CT. to here.

The Hilton personnel on the sign in desk were friendly and helpful and gave me a good impression right away.. The large lobby was neat and they pointed out that coffee was available in the lobby which was a nice touch

My wife and I were traveling with our son so a few months earlier we reserved a suite for the comfort of us all.after a long drive from East Haven Ct.

The beds were large and comfortable and the room had a suite complete with a frig, coffee maker, stove, dishes and pots and pans and all amenities needed for our stay if we chose to eat in..

I did note that the ottoman in the room was very worn and looked like a partially scaled fish. The rug needs to be replaced as well. They were the only downsides noticed .

This was the first hotel that I have stayed with a proximity card to open the door. It was neat to an old fashin guy like me that is used to a key or a magneting card and a buzz. I liked the new modern touch.

The breakfast on both mornings was just outstanding No continental--it was colossal

!!It had everything you could want for breakfast from hot to cold , fruit, pancakes, fresh juices muffins, scones cerials, eggs ,bacon, sausage, hot coffee and plenty of room to sit and enjoy it all . One of the best I have enjoyed in my travels. Congrats to the kitchen crew.

Parking at the hotel was good and the hotel is back from the highway so no road traffic was heard.

We even used the exercise room for thirty minutes (to burn up some of the breakfast )

They also had a nice pool that we observed but did not have swimwear in the limited suitcase we could bring on the trip.

It was not an inexpensive stay , but I felt that we received value for what we paid.

P.S. The wedding was fabulous and we all enjoyed the festivities

Based on our experience I believe you would enjoy this Hotel and the extensive shopping venues within a ten mile area.
