Reviews

not your chain motel. unique, clean, a great memory.

I still said excellent but it is not 'luxury' this is different. Staying there 3 nights is a great memory, even with crowing roosters and barking dogs. Breakfast is good - fresh orange juice, coca tea, coffee, yogurt, and an omelet made for you.
On the morning we had to leave for machu picchu, We had to be at the train station at 4:35AM for the PeruRail train that leaves at 5:05AM for an 8AM entry ticket. Alex arraged a mototaxi (tuktuk) that picked us up at 4:20AM and he packed a sack lunch for us to take into machu picchu - and he brought it out to us at 4:20AM. amazing!!
Also kept our luggage the day we checked out, so we could sightsee all day and then come back to pick it up. The hotel has a nice living room and TV for waiting if you need to. Also hammocks, a swing, nice courtyard. I was so glad we experienced this small town before we went to Cusco.

Great Place to Stay In Ollantaytambo

by Randy R

We spent three nights at the hotel while visiting the area as tourists. The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean and close to numerous archaeological sites in the Sacred Valley area. The breakfast (included) is a nice touch with fresh eggs cooked whrn you order. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. We had an early trip to Machu Picchu requiring us to depart the hotel for the train station at 4:15 am. The hotel arranged for a tuk-tuk to take us to the train and also packed yogurt, fruit, and sandwiches for us to take along. There is a nice courtyard for sitting when the weather is nice and a comfortable indoor living room. The Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the Ollantaytambo town square. The nearby ruins were visible from our second floor room. During our stay, the WiFi internet service was fast and worked fine.
