Overview

Your luxury experience at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort starts with a complimentary flute of champagne. Your family will marvel over the ruby and sapphire colored macaws in the lobby atrium. If you arrived by helicopter I’m sure you found the VIP landing pad convenient. Your kids will quickly spot the half-acre lagoon swimming pool with 12 waterfalls, several enormous caves, a 90-foot long pedestrian rope bridge and two slides all dotted by palm trees and lush foliage. Can’t miss it.

From your recently renovated room (carefully chosen near the top of this 18-floor Hyatt) you’ll have a sweeping view of Lake Windsong, a 21-acre lake, fronted by a white-sand beach. You’ll see the colorful paddleboats, sail boats and aqua cycles ready and waiting for you and the kids at no extra charge. You’ll take note of the forty-five hole Jack Nicklaus golf course and the tennis and racquet club. You’ll be pleased to read in the guestroom material that a superlative Camp Hyatt Kids Club is available. (Camp Hyatts are not your run-of-the-mill Kids’ Club. A friend’s daughter fell apart when they picked her up to go to dinner. She’d been there all day, but didn’t want to miss the evening activities.)

If you’re an art lover, you’ll no doubt want to enjoy the Hyatt’s million-dollar art collection. And if you love a massage, the Grand Cypress Salon features salon services, massages, facials and more in gorgeous surroundings. If you love good food, you’ll be pleased to find four dining spots. And you’ll be over-the-moon to see a mini-fridge in your room and coin laundry in the resort.

You’ll love that the Hyatt is just an easy fifty-minute drive to LEGOLAND Florida. The only complaint you might muster is that the “complimentary” items such as beach vehicles and Wi-Fi aren’t literally free. Alas it turns out that many of the free items come with a daily resort fee.

Great hotel

by bztravlr112

I stayed at the Hyatt recently for a business trip and I would definitely recommend it. I was able to check in much earlier than the normal check in period and definitely appreciated it as I got in earlier than expected. The room was clean and cleaning crew did a good job each day. I didn't use the room service, but did eat at one of the restaurants on site and the pizza I ordered was good. Getting to the pool is a bit of a trek with having to do down the lengthy amount of stairs, but definitely well worth it once you get down there.

awesome!
