The Kimpton Morrison House is located in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. The boutique hotel puts families close to all there is to see and do in Alexandria, as well as Mount Vernon. It’s also close to the National Harbor area, where you’ll find the Capital Wheel and Six Flags America.
The Kimpton Morrison House features guestrooms with one queen or one king bed only, though cribs and rollaway beds can be added for families of three. Connecting rooms are available. Pets are welcome in select rooms, and the hotel offers pet beds, bowls, treats and more. Wi-Fi is available for a fee, or you can sign up to become a Kimpton Karma member and receive free Wi-Fi that way.
The Kimpton Morrison House features an onsite restaurant, and in-room dining is available.

Only spent one night at Morrison House while in town for work. It’s an ok place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and really has an old world ambiance. Valet parking only but they were responsive when I wanted my car. The location is fantastic! Just a block off King Street, so easy walk to tons of restaurants and shops. The room was nice and had both a desk and chair and two comfy chairs with a table. One real negative is the lack of open outlets in the room. Bathroom was very nice and modern with a shower only, no tub (at least I my room), which was fine. As a Marriott rewards member, I was a little disappointed to not have a lounge but the hotel does have a bar and restaurant. It offers delivery-to-room meal service with a limited but varied menu. Also, the hotel has no gym. You have to go to another hotel to use their gym. It is a per friendly hotel. It is 0.7 mile walk to the King Street Metro Station. Overall it’s a decent hotel in a great location from which to explore Alexandria.
The General Manager and his staff with whom we interacted were professional, friendly, helpful and represented the Morrison House and Marriott in excellent fashion.
Morrison House is very well maintained and we felt totally comfortable staying there.
Very well located for both D.C. and Alexandria.
We had a GREAT stay!
