Great place

by jean A

Just had a great overnight stay at this hotel, booking in went well and got to our room where a bottle of prosecco and ferrero richer awaited (all part of our deal) then our lovely two course dinner which was excellent and the waiting staff were all very attentive. Finishing it all off with a lovely breakfast the next morning. To sum up good hotel good food and good service ,what more could you ask for..!

Fantastic stay in this hotel

by M J

My wife, 2 year old daughter and I celebrated my 39th birthday in La Mon Hotel in November 2019. Our room was very spacious, clean and warm (a little too warm at the start but reception very quickly sorted us out with a fan) and had a nice view overlooking the front of the hotel. The hotel was quiet at night which was a nice change from other hotels we have stayed in (Templepatrick Hilton is very nosiy at night for example).
La Mon's swimming pool is excellent and we found it hard to get our daughter out of it she was having such a good time. One criticism, and its a small one, is that the second bubble pool should have been fixed; it looked like it had bee in disuse for an extended period of time based on the state of the area where the button used to be.
The Mill restaurant in the hotel is nicely decorated and lit, although it is very warm and we had to ask that the heat be switched off. However, the highlight of the restaurant, aside from the lovely food and drink, are the waiters. I can honestly say I have never experienced such well mannered gentlemen in a restaurant in my life. One particular waiter was friendly and interacted very well with my shy young daughter. He went out of his way to sort her out with food that she could eat as she is dairy intolerant. We visited the bar afterwards where a lady was singing live and playing the guitar. She as excellent and my daughter really enjoyed the music as well. You could tell that the lady had a good relationship with the bar staff as it was one staff member's birthday and she got everyone to sing happy birthday to him :) Really nice atmosphere in the place and Im sorry I was knackered as Id have liked to have stayed longer.
Bed in our room was kingsize and very comfortable. We all had a great night sleep. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet and the food was lovely. A small criticism is that it takes quite a long time for the food to be replenished.
The hotel also has a children's playroom which was unique and very much appreciated.

All in all, one of the best hotels Ive ever stayed in and Im def going to visit again soon. Id imagine itd be amazing at Christmas time.
