Great place

by DrJJ30

We have stayed here for the past five years as a pit stop while traveling to northern Ontario for fishing trips. We chose this place because they have a bar and restaurant. Food is good and bar has a good selection of local beers, staff is very friendly. Rooms are clean and adequate. It is right on the lake and the views are great. Would recommend

A great halfway place to stop on the way farther north!

For the past two years on summer trips farther north to Red Lake, Ontario, our group of meandering travels have settled on La Place Rendez Vous Hotel in Fort Frances, Ontario, which is just across the U.S. - Canadian border from International Falls, Minnesota. It's "on the way!" If you plan ahead, you can reserve a room on the lakeside of the hotel and sit on the patio or balcony deck and enjoy the view of Rainy Lake! It's worth it! Their restaurant is reasonable, for dinner or breakfast before you head out on your journey. Staff is very accommodating, friendly, and yes, there are a lot of tourists that have already found this place. You will no doubt see some fisherpeople with their boats, motors, trailers and gear. Enjoy your stay, comfort along your way! Not much more to say!
