Fishing trip

by Sue M

Great place to go for a fishing trip. The owners, Dawn and Kent are very accommodating. Caught lots of walleye and northern. Easy walk from the cabins to the dock. Even fishing off the dock was fun, if you don’t have a boat, or the weather is not good. Cabins are clean and have all the essentials.

Great Place, lots of help and understanding

I read a review of this resort from 2010 and must tell you they have changed. We rented a fishing boat for a week's time and we were treated with nothing but respect and a helpful attitude. We stopped first at their outfitters store before going to the resort. Once at the resort the dock attendant went over everything, explained the navigation process for the lake, the electronics on the boat and the trolling motor. As there were 4 in our party the owner actually got another seat for us so we would not need to move one from front to back. We did get insurance on the new boat as part of our rental agreement and we did need it. The system of going upstream or downstream and what side to pass buy was new to us - needless to say we hit rocks and did damage the boat. After they were able to determine the costs involved we were contacted and told what would be required. Again, nothing but respect and concern from the owners. When going back to Kab we will certainly use their resort and hopefully they will let us rent a boat again. Its a great place - lots of changes since 2010.
