Property Needs Updating

by aglubka

This hotel is a good deal, but we will not stay here again. The property is in major need of an upgrade. The room was dingy and old, bathroom was not clean. Breakfast was just bagels when we went at 8:30am, and front desk staff did not seem to care about restocking it.

Good with Qualifications

This was our third stay. They accept dogs (and cats) with no pet fee, and they have a very nice pet area with poop bags and trails. Our first experience was horrifying. We were on the corner with mail trucks rumbling in and out all night long; I slept about twenty minutes. I read reviews and discovered that one has to ask for an interior room, preferably close to the office. The last two times we did this and slept very well; in fact, it was uncommonly quiet for a motel.
On our second trip, we had to wait several hours for our room to be ready. I blame this on Trump, who threatened to stage one of his undocumented worker sweeps that day. On our third trip, our room was not ready, but they immediately switched us to another room that was. So there are glitches, but the staff is extremely friendly, the workers made a huge effort to make sure we were settled in, and everyone praised the dog for being beautiful and well-behaved. This goes a long way, right?
The breakfast is minimal but enough to get you out the door, and you can get tea and coffee 24/7. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Just be sure you stay away from the exterior rooms, esp. those at the back of the property.
