Overview

La Quinta is the perfect resort for families who want a peaceful hideaway in Hollywood. Following a multi-million dollar renovation completed in late 2014, the resort offers 620 casitas (small houses) and suites, as well as one-, two- and three-bedroom villas. About 800 units are available in suites, spa villas and casitas (small houses). Suites offer kitchenettes and are big enough to accommodate most families. Five championship golf courses are in the area and onsite; guests receive preferential treatment. Parents will enjoy the sprawling Spa La Quinta that offers Swedish massage. Four onsite restaurants serve a range of American specialties. Families who have tennis stars will want to frequent some of 23 onsite courts, including clay courts. Tennis pros are available to offer advice on how to master the backhand. Kids can visit multiple pools per day with 41 pools — yes 41 pools! — on the property. A main Olympic-sized pool features an adjacent children’s playground.

4 star hotel & huge property

by Mwellaby

A very good 4* hotel with 3 restaurants and some shops on site. They have about 35 pools amongst all the complexes that are on site.

Need to take golf carts around as some amenities are a bit of a hike!

Room had a fireplace which came in handy as it cools off a lot in the evening. Shower stall was tiny though, and I’m a skinny guy!

It’s Mexican ranch style of rooms and could use some work. Bathrooms are in need of a complete renovation as the shower heads are ancient.

The adult pool definitely needs to step up their music selection, as we had to request the manager to turn the outdated music off, everyone at the pool complained. Staff was very nice though and helpful, just the company doesn’t empower their employees to actually make decisions that the guests want! Food menu is a bit weak and needs some additions but lots of drinks!

Golf course is the major attraction and they have a large full service spa as well. The spa i would rate a 7/10 as they don’t have any real communal amenities and its long overdue for a serious renovation.

Many weddings occur here and seems like 3 this past weekend.

Overall a great place to try for a relaxing vacation. A bit far away from some of the main areas of Palm Springs.

Not what I expected for a weekend trip

My partner brought me here for our 2 year anniversary. The grounds were well kept and staff was friendly . My partner had ordered a bottle of champagne to be in our room once we got there but it didn’t show up until about 15 minutes after we were already in the room. The pool was nice but closed down for an event at 3 so we switched pools . Later in the evening we received some complimentary chocolate covered strawberries for our anniversary but the card read mr and mrs even though my partner had specifically stated that it was two males . I was not happy with their attention to detail at this point . The next morning we called to get breakfast Delivered and the voicemail stated to leave a message which we did at 6:30 am I called back at 7:40 only to be told that they thought their voicemail might not have been working . The breakfast was finally brought at 8:40 which interrupted plans we had for 9am . We did hear back from the manager after I had contacted them about both of these two mishaps . The manager did give us credit back , but it really was a very disappointing trip as I had expected the level of service to be superior to other surrounding hotels . I wouldn’t stay here again and would have appreciated something much more than to receive a room credit .
