If you’d rather stay in a modern hotel with a rustic feel than a “historic” one that shows its age, the Lodge will serve you well. Don’t be turned off by the casino: the resort is family-friendly, with great restaurants, a fun “indoor water playland” with a pirate ship for kids to climb on and a killer whale slide, and suites that comfortably accommodate families without sacrificing privacy. Plus, the Lodge is in a convenient location within driving distance to many nearby attractions (though it’s nearly an hour to Mt. Rushmore), the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

The 4 of us adults ate in the Lodge's Grill and enjoyed our meal. We had Duck Breast,Duroc Chop, Peppered Ribeye and Land & Sea entrees. All were cooked to perfection and the salads were cold and fresh. Our watistaff person wasn't the friendliest; but served us decently. The atmosphere was ok but the food madeup for everything else

My wife and I booked a room 9-1 to 9-6 just wanting a relaxing week away. We arrived there at 1:30p.m., no rooms were ready was told to check back in an hour if not it would be ready by 3:00. We finally got our room and it was nothing to write home about! The carpet had not been vacuumed looked like someone had a glitter party in the room, not so sure the bathroom floor had been cleaned either. The freezer would not freeze things. We ended up having to leave a day early due to dental issue. We notified the front desk at 6:00a.m. and asked about credit for the room and was told we would have to contact who we booked it through,we did so and was told they would have to call the Lodge to verify we left. They was told that the Lodge declined to give us a refund. They are way over priced and not easy to work with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!!!!
