If you’d rather stay in a modern hotel with a rustic feel than a “historic” one that shows its age, the Lodge will serve you well. Don’t be turned off by the casino: the resort is family-friendly, with great restaurants, a fun “indoor water playland” with a pirate ship for kids to climb on and a killer whale slide, and suites that comfortably accommodate families without sacrificing privacy. Plus, the Lodge is in a convenient location within driving distance to many nearby attractions (though it’s nearly an hour to Mt. Rushmore), the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

We held a event at The Lodge and had amazing customer service. The staff was very helpful at setup time and throughout our event. They have a local legend named Jimbo that is head of security and he his a big part of they friendly hospitality. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Deadwood.
We had a fabulous stay. In particular, Jimbo's customer service was amazing and really made our stay more enjoyable. The food at Oggies was great. The bar also had a nice selection of beers on tap. Great place for a fun get away!
