Madeline Hotel has a nice lodge, homey feel that is relaxing. Our room was spacious, comfortable and the view was great. The workers are all very friendly and responsive to our presence and needs. Perfect. Thank you for a good weekend.

Family Fall Vacation

by Susan M

Amazing resort. Staff were nice accommodations were above average. Food at the Black Iron was exceptional quality. Location was excellent with easy access to many restaurants and shopping in Mountainside village as well as easy access to downtown Telluride where there were a multitude of dining and shopping options

Family Activities

Rooftop Pool
The heated rooftop pool features breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, two hot tubs, a changing room with towels and a steam room, bar and food service, music, and fire pits. Open daily until 8 p.m.

20 Below Hangout
Kids are invited to kick back and relax at 20 Below, located just beyond the ice rink. Video games, a Ping Pong table, Mac computers and more are available for the kids (and kids at heart) to dabble in. Attendants are there to "supervise," but are by no means babysitters, so please be sure you trust your children to be on their own.

Ice Rink
Unique to the Madeline is its ice rink. The neighboring shop will hook families up with skates (included in the rink fees), and punch passes are available, as well. Special events include character skates, DJ parties, broomball, and skate instruction. The ice rink transforms into AstroTurf in the summer and hosts yard games such as corn hole, which guests can rent complimentary from the front desk.

M Club
Parallel to the ice rink is this 3,000-square-foot hang-out that features cozy sitting and dining areas, a game room (pool, shuffleboard, and darts), outdoor fire tables, and an indoor/outdoor bar. Kids are sure to enjoy the hot chocolate while parents treat themselves to some cocktails. Food is served daily from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., 3 to 6 p.m., and 6 p.m. to close.

Family Dining

Black Iron Kitchen & Bar
This indoor/outdoor restaurant features eats such as salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers, and flatbreads. Shareable plates are available, as well, including wings, tacos, and various cheeses. Other menu items include seafood and steak frites. Gluten-free and vegetarian options are also available.

If the weather permits, grab a couch by one of the fire tables outside and breathe in that fresh Colorado air while you listen to live music or catch up on the latest sports games. Open daily, 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Starbucks
The only Starbucks in all of Telluride is located right at the Madeline! This warm and rustic location features all the favorites, including lattes, teas, and grab-and-go meals. Open daily, 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

In-Room Dining
Is your stomach growling but you don't feel like going to grab food? You're in luck! All the yummy food prepared at the Madeline can be delivered right to your door. Available 24 hours a day.

Planning & Tips

All About the Extras
Ski Valet
Simply inquire with the staff at the Madeline about rentals and before you know it, you'll be buckled into your boots, holding your poles, and zipping down the mountain. They will see to all of your needs at NEVE Sports (located onsite) so you don't have to!

In addition to getting your rentals situated, they will also take your equipment from you mid-day or at the end of the day (or both) so you don't have to be bothered with lugging it around.

Madeline Studio
If you're looking to burn some calories beyond the mountain, consider a visit to Madeline Studio. Dubbed "M Studio" for short, this studio features Pilates equipment and Jade-mats for personal practice, as well as 26 individual yoga and Pilates classes. Private sessions are available, as well.

Resort Fee
This $25 per day fee grants guests access to the Ski Valet, business center, 20 Below Hangout, and M Studio. It also includes Wi-Fi, in-room coffee and teas, local and 800 number phone calls, nightly turndown service (as requested), in-room mineral water (replenished daily), iPad newspaper service, Mountain Village Dial-A-Ride transportation, Telluride Gondola Tram Daily Service, and resort activities (as available).

Parking
Valet parking is $25 per day.

Dylan's Candy Bar
Dylan's Candy Bar, one of New York City's Top 10 Tourist Attractions, made its debut at the Madeline in July 2015. Families are invited to get lost in a "world of pure imagination," as our friend, Willy Wonka, once said, and dive into the candy cane columns, dripping chocolate shelves, and thousands of confections. The walls are also adorned with candy wallpaper. Open daily, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Pets
The entire hotel is pet-friendly, except the fifth floor. There is a $25 per pet, per day fee, which maxes out at $100, and you're allowed a maximum of two pets.

Check-In/Check-Out
Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m.

The Art of Smart Timing
Telluride is a four-season vacation destination, and so is the Madeline. If you're looking to save a buck or two, rates tend to be lower during the summer months.

Getting There
Montrose Regional Airport is an hour and a half away. We recommend getting a ride with Telluride Express, located right at the front of the airport.

Getting Around
The Madeline is located right in the center of Mountain Village, so you can walk literally everywhere. Want to head to town? Simply jump on the free gondola, a short walk from the hotel doors.

For Mom and Dad
Spa and Salon
The spa, which rests at an impressive 10,000 feet above sea level, is the perfect pit stop for parents to make in the midst (or at the end) of their busy days.

Bath Barista
These bath experts will draw you the most relaxing bath you've ever indulged in, filled with customized bath salts and essential oils. Bath Baristas are available daily, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
