Stayed here over a long weekend and really wanted to like this place. Came with our extended family and rented multiple cabins. This biggest issue was the missing electrical cover on the outlet in the kitchen which is very dangerous for 1 and 2 year olds, they could have been electrocuted. I fixed this issue before I gave the staff a chance to fix it due to the life safety. Our cabin was listed to accommodate 8 people and though there was bed space for 8 there were not enough plates, bowls, cups or mugs in their "fully stocked" kitchen. Also no baking sheets or baking pans, a rusty tea kettle and 4 small sauce pans. Everything was mismatched and looked like it was bought from 15 different trips to goodwill. Lots of spider webs in all corners of the cabin and very musty smelling. When things were brought to the attention of management the response every time was "Thanks for letting us know of the oversight". However, credit given where credit is due, the staff did bring us additional cups and bowls after I brought this to their attention. Outside the cabin the beach was nice but the picnic tables and umbrellas were broken and overall very run down. We will not be going back.

We LOVE Mai Tiki and look forward to returning year after year! We have our yearly family reunion here and couldn't be happier. If you're coming here for luxury it's not for you, this is the place you go to unwind and disconnect from the world, think of it a little cottage in the woods, except you get the gorgeous view of Lake Huron and a sandy beach (HUGE PLUS).When we are here we are enjoying the great outdoors, so the indoors don't need to be perfect, they just need to give us a place to lay our head get a bite to eat and a quick shower. The staff is friendly and always available for anything you need, if you want to get away with a good view this is the place to go!
