Overview

Located directly on the beach in Oscoda, Michigan along Lake Huron, the Sandcastle offers families the choice of five cottages, all but one of which sleep up to six in a pair of bedrooms and a pull out futon. The cottages also offer fully equipped kitchens and flat screen TVs. Four suites sleeping four and with microwave ovens and mini-refrigerators will work well for smaller families, and the large main house is ideal big families. All of the beachfront accommodations are, as you’d guess by the name, smack dab on the beach along the shores of Lake Huron. Make use of your own private table and chairs with umbrella, a grills in the resort’s picnic area during your stay. Onsite, enjoy basketball, shuffleboard, corn hole, and the popular new game spikeball. There’s a play area for young children featuring swings, slide, monkey bars, and teeter-totter all on the beach! And even a sandy court for a game of beach volleyball.

Reviews

Great Family Place.

by Aileen B

We really enjoyed this easy going place. Room was basic but clean and reasonably up to date. A little small for 4, but for 2 nights was just what we needed. Beds comfortable. AC worked well. Nice beach. Kids loved the shuffleboard. We hope to go back.

Beautiful Family Vacation Getaway

by Zahera h

We had a wonderful experience at Sandcastle Resort, this was our first visit under new management. The management was very efficient ,I didn't realize the unit #7 we booked did not have a kitchen. The management offered us to book our vacation on a later date when the kitchen was available. That was very thoughtful and helped us plan better we stayed in #7 .Very clean surroundings, comfortable bed, adequate grills, and chairs.
It is very sad to see the impact of climate change on the beaches and rise in water level. We went after 10 years and most of the beach was gone. The management had to build a boardwalk to protect whatever is left. We hear about these changes but it was eye opening how everything is connected and impacts our life.
