Overview

Located in Old Town, this resort (formerly The Westin Key West Resort & Marina) is a block from the popular Duval Street and adjacent to Mallory Square. Families can take a stroll on the waterfront promenade by charming neighborhood boutiques and cafes. Over 170 rooms and suites feature complimentary Wi-Fi, climate control and balconies. Select suites come with separate living rooms, Jacuzzis and pullout sleeper sofas. Bistro 245, Castaway and Latitudes are great onsite restaurants. Bistro 245 is the more family-friendly, as it is open for all meals and has a casual atmosphere. The restaurant is known for its Sunday brunch. Beaches are within walking distance, and a good one to visit is Smathers Beach. Family-friendly attractions in the area include Key West Aquarium and Mel Fisher’s Maritime Museum.

Just Average- but not the Price

by teresalU4200JQ

We were expecting to be in Paradise, but were disappointed to say the least. Staff was not friendly except for the pool lady. Bars were just “basic “ . Pool bar closed at 6pm, sunset bar close at sunset. Resort fee got us water and coffee, but coffe was in the main lobby, which was in another building!! Parking fee too.
Service at breakfast was horrible even though there were few customers.
A boat shuttle to the sister island for beach time was offered on booking. However when we inquired were told you must book in advance and make a reservation for breakfast, lunch or dinner- at a place you know nothing about.....

Nice, but

My family and I stayed here for 5 days. Although we booked 2 rooms months in advance and arrived by noon to check in and waited for them to release a room, they gave us one of the worst rooms they have to offer on the north side of the building next to a noisy outside generator and without any view. The rooms are nice and the maids were helpful and very pleasant although a few spoke no English. They do have nicer interior rooms that face the pool and outside rooms on the South side that offer nice views of the harbor and sunsets ( when the cruise ships aren’t in port). The pool is nice and the food at the pool and dockside restaurants is quite good. The hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants and attractions with easy walking distance although it also gets inundated with the tourists arriving from the 2-3 cruise ships which arrive in port across from the hotel almost daily. This was our first visit to Key West and we found many other quant hotels we’d chose to stay at instead next time.
