Pier House boasts an authentic Key West experience. Guests take advantage of a private white-sand beach, a pool surrounded by tropical gardens and all that Old Town Key West offers. Cozy rooms feature private balconies that overlook the ocean. Though Pier House has maintained a traditional architecture, the amenities have been upgraded to include high-speed Wi-Fi and in-room movies. Bathrooms are tiled with rain showers and rooms have ceiling fans for ventilation. Families can opt for larger suites with separate bedrooms, living rooms with sleeper sofas and additional bathrooms. There are four restaurants, bars and cafes at the hotel.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed and would definitely recommend anyone staying here when visiting Key West. First of all, from the front desk to the wait staff to housekeeping, the service is wonderful. The front-desk staff seemed genuinely friendly. It was a pleasure greeting them every day. The hotel is located at the end of Duvall, so all of the major tourist sites, bars, and restaurants in Key West are located within walking distances. There is no real need for a car. The tourist spots are about no more than 30 minutes away, about 15 minutes from the main dock area. The cab fare to Pier House from the airport is about $20.00. If you chose to drive, parking is available. There are also two electrical shuttles that go up and down, Duvall. When I was there, one of them was being repaired. If you decide to walk, you can check out an umbrella from the front desk. There is Wifi onsite. I had no problems with the Wifi from the room or the pool/beach area. These services are included in your $40 resort fee.
The hotel has a beach/pool area. The pool was refreshing on a hot and humid August day. The beachfront area is not that big, but it is big enough and accommodating for a nice dip in the ocean. There is also a smaller area, adjacent, but not on the shoreline, for more private, intimate sunbathing. Nature lovers will enjoy the two large iguana houseguests that roam the beachfront and the pool area or the turtles on the hotel grounds. In the beach/pool area, guest can either dine at the café-bar, which had the best wagyu hamburger I have ever had, or at One Duvall restaurant. During the afternoon, there was live music in the café-bar area. Pool and beachside service is available. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend dining at either the café-bar or One Duvall. Prices were competitive. There is also an afternoon to evening bar located near the pool area.
The rooms are nice, spacious, and comfortable and kept clean by the hard work housekeeping staff. The room came with a small balcony with a modern fashionable bathroom, individual heat-pump AC unit, and ceiling fan. I know that you do not go to Key West to sit in your room to watch TV, but it appears that the TV service, although adequate, can be improved. The layout of the hotel was interesting - the hotel itself is almost a garden-style type in an enclosed common area in front of the rooms. This area is not conditioned but is sheltered from the elements. This could be somewhat noisy in the evenings but were no problems with excessive noise. The Hotel will provide you with an app to use a room key. This is okay, I found it to be a bit cumbersome, but did not present any real issues.
I enjoyed my trip and I was genuinely sad when I had to leave. I will definitely stay here for future visits to Key West and definitely recommend staying here.
