Overview

This larger resort has all the amenities guests expect during a Caribbean vacation. The perfect guestroom for families is the two-bedroom villa with one king bed and one queen. There’s a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and a dining area. A quadruple room has two full beds for four guests. A daily schedule of activities includes a morning hike, noon dance lessons, and afternoon volleyball. Off site, but nearby, are scuba and snorkeling tours as well as dolphin experiences. The beach for swimming and kayaking is just a minute away, and a pool is available as well. Onsite is a restaurant that serves three meals a day buffet style and snacks in between.

Eco Friendly

I have to start by saying take a Cabana not a room as the experience is totally different and to my opinion only worth it if you take the Cabana. Some of the Cabanas face the bay it's one of a kind view but they tend to be noisy as they are in the middle of trees and things keep falling of the roof which I personally dislike. The cabanas are specious have private balconies (yes there are mosquitoes) and have some privacy. I usually like staying up late and partying when staying in a resort but I didn't mind going to be early as this was so calm and peaceful. Be aware of swimming and snorkeling it can be dangerous I got a coral burn as the waves push me next to one and it ruined the rest of my day as it burns as hell but calms down the next day fortunately.

6th time there, soI guess we like it ;)

It was our 6th trip to the Media Luna and our second time that we stayed for two consecutive weeks.
We love the cabanas. They might be a little dated, but they’re clean and everything was in order.
The animation crew is great. We loved talking with Branly, Rose-Marie and Moises. They’re great and I hope they’ll be there next year.
Buffet is good, good selection at every meal. Alex always gave us a great service.
The À la Carte restaurant is a nice change of pace and the 20$ extra for the filet mignon is well worth it.
It’s a great place to relax and just enjoy the moment. Snorkeling is great (start from the pier at the diveshop, you won’t regret it).
We’ll be back for sure.
