Beautiful and relaxing hotel

by luellen

This was the second Mirbeau Inn we've stayed at (first was in Plymouth, MA). From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. Upon arriving, we asked if we could upgrade our room and they quickly made every effort to find us just the right room. The club room they chose was perfect. In a quiet corner but still in the main in so no need to walk in the rain or outdoors to get to the dining room or spa. The club amenities were nice...extra waters, coffee, etc. Our room was very comfortable with a nice patio. Both my husband and I visited the spa more than once. It was very relaxing. The relaxation room was beautiful. If I had any constructive criticism, it would simply be to spruce up the women's steam room (door was broken, etc.).

We also ate one dinner at the hotel and visited the bar a few times. The bartender was very knowledgeable and helpful. Our meal was very good for the most part. My filet was a bit overcooked but still tender (as filet's usually are even when cooked a bit too much). It wasn't enough to make a fuss but perhaps the chef needs some assistance on busy nights. My husband's sirloin was perfectly cooked. Neither of us were crazy about the gnocchi (a bit heavy for us) but that could have been personal preference. Overall, we'd say the staff was always very helpful and friendly and we'd highly recommend this inn for a relaxing stay in wine country. The downtown is also just a short walk away, making the location of the hotel ideal.

Anniversary celebration

As always, Mirbeau is another world, where time stands still, and all the services and food are top notch. Impeccable in every way! We felt pampered and honored. Especially noteworthy are two ladies, Jen in the Spa, and Amanda in the guest services (housekeeping). They made our stay outstanding.
We come here often, all seasons, and are never disappointed. Looking forward to next time!
