As another superhero movie celebrates its success with a soon-to-be-released sequel, Disneyland has announced it is closing one of its older thrill rides to make way for a new ride dedicated to “The Guardians of the Galaxy.”
Fans of The Tower of Terror at Disney’s California Adventure theme park are losing the terrifying 13-story drop ride on January 2, 2017, as Disneyland begins a complete overhaul of the Hollywood Hotel into the world of Marvel Comics. “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!” will be a high-energy new ride featuring the characters of the blockbuster film. It is scheduled to open for the summer season, 2017.
