Marriott International’s edgy new MOXY brand, designed for a younger market, will debut in the U.S. in 2016. The first of three properties opening this spring will be MOXY New Orleans.
The Central Business District property will be within walking distance of the French Quarter and will feature 108 minimalist-style guest rooms, with one king or two queen bed options. MOXY New Orleans will debut later this month with invite-only sleepovers featuring dueling DJs, a Karaoke part, and a traditional New Orleans “Freak Show” in an effort to appeal to its millennial audience. Still, families will be able to enjoy the hotel, which allows kids 18 and younger to stay free with parents and features complimentary Wi-Fi and grab-and-go meal options.
A second MOXY will open in Tempe, Arizona, followed by a third U.S. location in Los Angeles.
