Mount Washington Alpine Resort, which has been operating on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, for 36 years, has been sold to Pacific Group Resorts, Inc. (PGRI). The Utah-based company develops hotels and residential units and purchased all ski and recreation operations, as well as most of the land around its base for future development.

With the additional of Mount Washington, PGRI will now manage four ski resorts, including Wintergreen Resort in Virginia. The company also has real estate projects in Squaw Valley and Mammoth Village in California, and Whistler, British Columbia. Mount Washington Alpine resort will continue operations for the 2015-16 ski season, and is adding two new snowmaking guns.
