Outer Banks Getting Water Park

One of the great pleasures of the Outer Banks in North Carolina is its lack of commercial space. However, it means limited resources for kids during family vacations. Next summer, families will have a new place to spend quality time together: an 80-acre water park.

Aquatic Development Group has submitted plans for a nautical-themed water park featuring a wave pool, lazy river, FlowRide surf simulator, children’s adventure areas, cabanas and food and beverage services.

Construction is slated to begin next month with the park expected to open in the Outer Banks summer 2017.
