Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has teamed up with Major League Baseball to become the Official Hotel of Major League Baseball. The new partnership brings perks to guests of Sheraton, especially Starwood Preferred Guests (SPGs), as the loyalty program has also been named the Official Loyalty Program of Major League Baseball.

Beginning with the 2016 Major League Baseball season, Sheraton will take guests and SPG members out to the ballgame by offering complimentary access to MLB.TV, the streaming service that enables fans to watch their favorite teams live outside of their home market; in-room access to MLB Network 24/7 cable TV channel; and custom Starwood booking widgets located on MLB.com and participating teams’ schedule pages to help book travel to see teams on the road.

The partnership also means packages, promotions and sweepstakes offered throughout the season from the hotel chain.

SPG members will receive additional experiences, such as meet and greets and batting practice with players during Spring Training, and premium game tickets during All-Star Game and World Series events. SPG members can also use their Starpoints now for tickets to each World Series game.

“This new partnership will provide MLB content and unique experiences to Sheraton guests and SPG members, offering baseball fans an attractive benefit when making a hotel choice,” said Noah Garden, MLB Executive Vice President, Business.
