Oahu’s famed Waikiki Beach will be home to a new resort this fall. The ‘Aloholani Resort will bring 800 rooms and suites, an infinity pool and new restaurants by chef Masaharu Morimoto.

Transforming from the Pacific Beach Hotel, the ‘Alohilani Resort will be a $115-million redevelopment and include a 280,000-gallon lobby oceanarium featuring more than 1,000 protected marine life from the coral reefs off of Waikiki. All new guest rooms will overlook Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head with a neutral beachside decor. Morimoto’s two new beach restaurants will highlight Asia-Pacific cuisine. Marmot Asia, on the second floor, will be the resort’s signature and upscale restaurant, while Momosan Waikiki will be a casual street-level spot with a beer garden.

Public spaces include the pool deck with its saltwater infinity pool and tiered day beds, an open floorpan lobby, pocket gardens and an arrival lounge.

The Oahu resort will open this fall, but no official date as been announced.
