The Eleanor has a king bed, while the Muriel has a queen. Although it is full of 19th century charm, this B&B is full of modern conveniences like air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and DVD players in the rooms. Families with children will enjoy the portable cribs, high chairs, sand box, swings, and toys onsite. Mornings will be special with the B&B’s signature puffed apple pancakes. Homey, comfortable B & B

by zeeLongIsland_Ny

During a visit to our grandsons, my husband & I stayed at Nichols B & B, as a refreshing & welcome change from the chain motels available in the area.
The 1800’s house is sweetly decorated in a way that feels like what “ home “ should feel like . We were warmly greeted by Walt ( a James Taylor look alike), & owner, Dorothy.
Our Eleanor room was up a short, but narrow flight of stairs. Although small in size, it actually had everything you’d need for your stay. I had 2 very fine nights of sleep in a very fine softish bed ( feathers?). with fine linens & a lovely quilt.
Breakfasts were plentiful & creative ( try apple pancakes, kielbasa, granola, eggs, sausage, home baked date & nut bread plus more ). Conversation around the breakfast table was lively & interesting. We were lucky to have Walt & Dorothy join us for breakfast both mornings, & they are indeed charming & engaging hosts.
We will definitely return when we visit the area again.

Most comfortable bed ever

We stayed here for one night on a New England road trip. We arrived at around 4pm and there were plenty of spaces on the lot. Walt, the manager, was friendly and helpful. The room was very good (if a little cramped); pretty clean and super-comfortable beds.
Comfortable sitting room downstairs
Breakfast was excellent, prepared by the owner, Dorothy. This is a place where all the guests (+ Dorothy & Walt) eat breakfast sitting around a large table and it was good fun – the time flew by!
We will be back!
