North Shore Resort is centrally located by the Three-Lakes District of Grand County on the north end of Lake Granby, 5 miles from Grand Lake Village and 6 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. For families, there is a half-acre backyard with a large open fire pit for nightly campfires. All units have a bathroom with a shower/tub, fully equipped cooking facilities and a small satellite television. Each cabin is uniquely decorated, with modern conveniences and mountain charm. Most units have a back door that opens to a shared deck that overlooks the lake. Kitchenettes include a toaster, a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker and a stove with an oven, plus dishes and cooking utensils such as pots and pans.
Daily cleaning service is not provided in the little cabins. All bedding, linens and basic cleaning supplies, such as dish soap and cleanser, are in each cabin.
Onsite family amenities include horseshoes; disc golf; volleyball; bocce ball; croquet; roping practice on steer head; first-come access to a canoe, paddleboat and sit-upon kayaks; games; and DVDs.

My family and I stayed for 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend in the Country Club room at the Mountain Lakes cabins (we did originally end up at the North Shore Lodge, which was confusing). We were charmed by the interior design! We love that this place is pet friendly (the fenced in back yard is a great touch!!). So many of the exterior details were thoughtful as well, including the fire pits and bench swings - we didn't get to use the barbecue common area in front, but that was neat as well. The rooms were very clean and had just about all the necessary accommodations thought of (the kitchen would have been perfect with a cookie sheet and some aluminum foil, maybe table spices ;) ) The beds were ok - we don't expect luxury in cabins, but the kids switched off on one of the bunk beds because it was so hard - not a deal breaker by any means. There's a nice loop to walk around at the back of the canal, it's where I was when a moose came out and walked in front of me so he could cross the canal. One of my favorite moments from the trip!
We'll be back again, had a great time!!

We'd never been to Grand Lake before, but we'll definitely be back! The North Shore unit #7 faced Lake Granby, with a beautiful view from the room/balcony and lots of seating just steps away by the lake. We did not use the boats, but it's pretty cool that they are freely available. The room was definitely small, but it was nice having the kitchenette, the shower was decent, and the king bed was really comfortable. Walls were thin, but the other guests were nice and the overall vibe was laid-back and friendly. Will stay again!
