Good Hotel

by paperedagain

I went with my family of two adults and my two daughters. We rented a car so it was just 15-20 min. away from other beaches. When we got there we realized that the hotel isn't really a hotel anymore and instead there are different owners for each room. When we got there we were supposed to talk to a woman but we didn't know where to find her so we had to go to the restaurant/bar and ask the chef, He called her and she came. The chef was very friendly the whole week and the food was expensive (like everywhere else) but it was very good. Everybody else who worked there (except for the chef and one woman in the front desk) were very mean and disrespectful but frankly I noticed this happened with almost everybody else on the island. When this woman led us to our room it was an upper floor room even though we had booked a ground floor room so I discussed with her and she said she would go check and come back. We waited and waited and she never came back. Overall though the place was very peaceful and quiet. There was a free paddle-board and some kayaks you could use so my family had a lot of fun. The beach was full of seaweed but it was beautiful. For the rest of the next 6 days we would stay at this hotel in the morning and in the afternoon we would leave to explore other beaches and get to know different areas of the island. The island is the best place i have been to so far and it's frankly like paradise. Our room was very clean and it was spacier than it looked. There was a big TV with Netflix and the beds were really comfortable. Unfortunately, there was no room service but i had a pretty big kitchen and there was a beach umbrella in a closet so we didn't have to pay in other beaches for any beach umbrellas. (They are very expensive. It's cheaper to go to a supermarket and buy your own beach umbrella) It's also very close to Malcolm Beach were it seems impossible to get there but once you get there there is nobody there and it's one of the best places for snorkelling. There are these artificial tall things for the fish but if you go around it, it's full of different corals and fish. I've never seen more fish in my life. But overall the location of the hotel was not the best but the island is os small that everything is still so close. It's a very nice beach and the rooms are very nice and clean. I recommend it if you rent a car and want a quiet place to relax with your family or even alone.

Seclusion with a view

We recently stayed at the Northwest Point Resort unit 2111. This is a ground floor unit with a great view of the pool and lush landscaping. The unit was very nice, a few small maintenance items and a semi comfortable bed. Check in and out was easy with Lisa. The NWP Resort is not really a resort but has some resort qualities like an amazing pool, beautiful grounds an amazing beach with kayaks you can use. The ocean water does have a lot of sea grass which gives it a dark appearance, but the snorkeling by the multiple coral reefs right off the beach was great. Lots of fish. If you want your alone time away from the hustle and bustle of tourist this is your place. You will have to drive 10 minutes on a non paved road but totally worth it.
