If you have extra 20 minutes, much better than ovepriced city center dumps

by Joanna T

This is a super friendly and high aspirations hotel, literally just by DLR/Southeast station. So if you can spare extra 20 minutes to get to St Pancras or Bank, I definitely recomend staying in this hotel rather than tiny, crowded and overpriced city center hotels. Great breakfasts and nice gym (for the price range). Bus stop around Greenwich just outside, Sailsbury just around the corner, center of Greenwich (restaurants, pubs, etc) literally 6 minutes walk.

Building works still going on...

by RaePerezMendoza

Despite stating on their website that building works would finish on 30th September 2019 (apparently a revelation to the member of reception staff that I spoke to. Does no-one think to check the information that they are giving to potential customers is accurate?) drilling could clearly be heard in my 5th floor room, when I was trying to rest after travelling. And woke me up the following morning, when I’d been out the evening before. I certainly would have booked elsewhere if I had known this. And I had asked for a quiet room on the preferences part of the booking. Which clearly was never going to happen.

Very disappointing. As to the room, which was an Executive type, very weird layout, as others have said. Tiny wardrobe (and I couldn’t see why it couldn’t be 3 times the size), toilet is separate from the bathroom (with no washbasin), but bathroom has good shower (though some more grouting on the tiles wouldn’t go amiss) and a separate bath. Good range of toiletries in bathroom, toothbrush, etc.

They have a little table over the desk that rolls out for you to eat or work at. But only one of you, because there is not a 2nd chair to use. Bed was very comfortable. Until the drilling woke me up.

Right next door to the train station - but the train from London arrives on the North side. Some indication on the website of how you get to the South side / main exit would have been helpful.

Staff were generally pleasant, though some seemed lacking in experience. I hardly think calling a cab is an unusual request but required 2 members of staff to do...
