Overview

The NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort is a fun-filled themed vacation destination for families with children. The hotel boasts proximity to all Queensland theme parks, Harbourtown shopping center and all Gold Coast attractions. Families can choose from a range of self-contained apartments, from single-bedroom rooms to private two-story townhouses. There is also an RV park with electrical hookups for families travelling with their own vehicles.

The resort is — as the name suggests — delightfully pirate-themed. There are four themed swimming pools, a pirate golf course, Shipwreck Shores water park, an outdoor cinema, an outdoor gym, ball parks, free barbecues, a children’s playground and plenty of activities for children. Galleon’s Bistro serves a continental breakfast buffet, steaks, burgers, salads and desserts. The children’s menu features themed food and each mini meal comes with free ice cream.

Ideal stay for kids

by VPmcr

We stayed at the Treasure Island Resort for five nights after a long flight from the UK. We chose the resort because of the activities for the kids and they were not disappointed - they loved the bouncing pillow, pool with slides, spa pools, park (with bats, parakeets and ibis hanging out in the trees) and go karts / bikes. If you stay here do not miss out on a trip to Coombabah Lakes Conservation Area which is just around the corner. We went twice and saw plenty of Kangaroos and a good number of Koalas (spend some time looking in the trees - it’s worth it). It’s a beautiful and off the beaten track park and I hope it stays that way but it is well worth the trip/walk. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and the bar serves decent food and good cold beers. The accommodation was good but try and spend the extra $s and stay in one of the bigger/newer villas as some of the older ones are a bit dated.

Nice place for families

Spent three nights here - facilities were good. Stayed in a Pandanus cabin, enough room for a family of 4. Mini golf was a bit run down but fun, water park is great for the kids, pool area in great condition.
