Overview

For families into golf, the Omni National Resort is a top pick. But with tennis courts, two pools, three restaurants, and a spa, this Four Diamond Resort offers far more than just golf. Kids will love receiving a backpack filled with various games and goodies at check-in. They’ll also love being treated to milk and cookies delivered to their room on the first night of the stay! Traditional rooms with two queen beds should work for most families; however, larger families or those wanting more space should consider the casitas or haciendas.

Relatively Inexpensive but still not a good Value

by ThoRei1899

Obstructed views, Bad booking info, understaffed, Nice Lobby. The good...The Lobby is very nice large and well decorated. Parking was convenient and while the place is a little older it is well maintained. The room was large. The Bad ... When I booked the booking agent didn't know anything about packages or amenities and had to keep calling the hotel. I booked a premium view room which is supposed to have a mountain view. I guess you could see a mountain but most of the view was blocked by two overgrown trees (see picture) and this was the better viewthan the room to the left and the right. When I booked I asked if the Steakhouse was open and they told me closed on Sunday but it would be open for my second night Monday. When I got there I was told it is never open Monday or Sunday. I tried to book the spa when I booked the room they told me you can just book when you get there it will be no problem it is low occupancy. Indeed it was low occupancy but also low staff. 1 person in the Spa and could not accommodate us for any service. While the rooms were nice the only amenity really available was the pool, I could have just stayed in a Marriot for much less.

Pleasant Visit

by shadamai

I stayed for several nights while visiting family in the area. The grounds were nicely kept and a lot of the desert plants were in bloom this time of year. My room was very spacious; however, one of the first things I noticed was the carpet- it seemed to be coming apart in some places. The large refrigerator and microwave were very convenient and there was a large walk through closet. I enjoyed both the main pool and hot tub while I was here. The water in the pool was the perfect temperature- not too hot and not too cold. The staff were friendly and pleasant and the main building was very beautiful. My stay was pleasant and rooms were a good value during the off season. I think the resort could look at making a few future updates to the rooms, especially the carpet and tubs.
